Examinations

Some research postgraduate programmes may contain coursework components. Students are required to complete the required postgraduate level courses before proceeding to the thesis stage. You may refer to webpage on examinations for postgraduate programmes and part-time (Distance Learning) programmes for the relevant information on examination arrangements relating to postgraduate level courses.

All research postgraduate students are required to complete a thesis under the supervision of their supervisors within the specified time frame as required by the respective research postgraduate programme. The thesis shall be examined, normally by an oral examination. A student may also be required to present himself/herself for a written or practical examination or other test. The Research Postgraduate Programmes Student Handbook contains more details on the requirements for thesis submission and related examinations arrangements.
