  • The Examinations & Assessment Team provides university-wide support for all matters in relation to student examinations and assessment. For courses with written examination, course results will be determined by your performance in both the continuous assessment and the examination as illustrated in the chart below.
  • Course results are determined by an Award Committee appointed for each course and then endorsed by the School Board. The course grading scheme is as follows:

Other grades which include “Complete” and “Incomplete” will be used where necessary.

  • The major functions of the team are to handle submission of assignments, continuous assessment result processing, examination scheduling, to administer on-campus written examinations, handle examination irregularities and award course results for Postgraduate, Undergraduate and Part-time Distance Learning courses.
  • The team also handles various applications including deferment of examination, overseas examinations, appeal against course results, language proficiency examination and course certificates, and special examination arrangements for students with disabilities or special educational needs and inmate students.
