Orthopaedics and Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy I

Orthopaedics and Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy I introduces students to basic pathology, epidemiology, diagnostic techniques, orthopaedic management and rehabilitative care to patients with traumatic injuries and orthopaedic dysfunctions of the limbs.

Clinical Neurology and Developmental Disabilities

Clinical Neurology and Developmental Disabilities introduces students to the fundamental knowledge of clinical neurology and the basic principles of neuro-sensory-motor developments throughout different stages of human lifespan. Students will also be introduced to physiotherapy practice for clients/patients with developmental disabilities.

Electrophysical Therapy and Advanced Technology in Rehabilitation​

In this course, students will have the opportunity to attain the knowledge and skills for the application of essential and contemporary electrophysical agents in physiotherapy practice.

Rehabilitation Psychology

This course introduces the key psychological perspectives for understanding the processes of adjustment to trauma, disability, and illness, and the social impact on clients. This course aims to prepare students of helping professions to examine their values of helping, to develop basic interviewing skills needed in building a helping relationship with clients, and to help clients to manage problems in psychological adjustment.

Clinical Practicum I​

An introductory clinical placement will be arranged for students to experience physiotherapy services in different types of clinical settings, such as in-patient, out-patient, or extended rehabilitation.

Clinical Practicum I​I

Students will be required to actively participate in various types of approved activities (e.g. community service, clinical service and clinical research) under the supervision of qualified health care professionals, and organised by institutions and organisations of credible status, such as governmental offices/departments, the Hospital Authority, district health centre, non-governmental organisations, clinics, schools, or professional associations.
