The mission of the HKMU is to make higher education available to all who aspire to it. Our many scholarships and awards donated by the generous public, corporations and groups provide ample motivation and incentives for outstanding and diligent students who excel in their respective academic studies. On the other hand, in light of the possibility of some students being kept away from study because of financial difficulties, the University set up a Student Assistance Fund in 1992 to offer scholarships, bursaries and other forms of financial support to these students. Sincere thanks to the generosity of alumni, staff, students and friends in the community, the University has been able to offer hundreds and thousands of students with bursaries and scholarships through the Fund.
