Biography

Dr. Stanley Lam is an Assistant Professor at the School of Nursing and Health Studies, Hong Kong Metropolitan University. His research focuses on trauma-related mental health, with particular expertise in post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, and dissociative symptoms. He has led multiple funded projects and clinical trials examining innovative, trauma-informed interventions, contributing to both local and international scholarship on mental health.

Dr. Lam is an experienced educator who teaches across undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, covering topics such as mental health nursing, research methods, and clinical practice. He also supervises research students and early-career scholars, fostering the next generation of nursing researchers and practitioners.

Beyond research and teaching, Dr. Lam actively engages in professional and community service, collaborating with healthcare providers, NGOs, and policy partners to improve access to evidence-based interventions for vulnerable populations. His overarching goal is to enhance mental well-being in the community through research, education, and service.
