The Gerontech and Innovation Expo cum Summit 2025 (GIES 2025) was held from 20 to 23 November 2025 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. The event was jointly hosted by the HKSAR Government and the Hong Kong Council of Social Service, in collaboration with the Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation. At the booth organised by the School of Nursing and Health Sciences of Hong Kong Metropolitan University, more than 800 participants engaged in health screenings and received valuable health-related insights. One of the highlights of the booth was the Alpha System, an innovative exergaming platform designed to promote seated Tai Chi. Visitors also had the opportunity to experience the Seated Tai Chi Exergaming System, which seamlessly integrates physical activity with interactive gaming. Through this platform, participants could learn Tai Chi movements in a fun and engaging way while enjoying the benefits of exercise.
