Funded by the University Grants Committee's Research Infrastructure Grant under the Institutional Development Scheme, Exergaming Research Centre for Healthy Aging, which incubates gamified intervention using gerontechnology to improve the physical health, cognitive abilities, and emotional health of older adults, was founded in September 2023 to address issues arising from aging population. It will function as a multidisciplinary hub that specifically aims to facilitate research development and provision of research support capacities in exergaming, foster industry-academia collaborations and technology creation in exergaming, and create an infrastructure to implement evidence-based exergaming programmes.
