The Development Bureau launched the Registration Scheme for Tree Management Personnel (RSTMP) in December 2020. Qualified in-service practitioners are encouraged to register for the five types of tree management personnel on a voluntary basis. Each registration is valid for 3 years.
For renewal of registration, tree management personnel have to fulfil the minimum Continuing Education for Arboriculture (CEA) hour requirements as well as those on specified core competency areas for individual key job functions. The course is developed to meet the requirement of Registered Arborists, Tree Risk Assessors, Tree Work Supervisors, Tree Climbers and Chainsaw Operators for CEA.

Admission Requirements
Applicants are normally required to
meet the following requirements:

Remarks: Applicants are required to submit a copy of their registration documents (e.g. registration card, registration letter, etc.) for checking their registration validity under RSTMP.
Assessment
Assessment will be in the form of a written assessment. The passing mark is 70 (out of 100).
Award
A Certification of Completion will be issued by LiPACE to those who successfully achieve a pass in the written assessment, plus 100% attendance.
