Introduction

The Development Bureau launched the Registration Scheme for Tree Management Personnel (RSTMP) in December 2020. Qualified in-service practitioners are encouraged to register for the five types of tree management personnel on a voluntary basis. Each registration is valid for 3 years.

For renewal of registration, tree management personnel have to fulfil the minimum Continuing Education for Arboriculture (CEA) hour requirements as well as those on specified core competency areas for individual key job functions. CEA is essential to uplift the core competency of registered tree management personnel to align with their expected competency based on the Specification of Competency Standards for the arboriculture and horticulture industry as well as to keep them abreast of the latest techniques and development in the industry. The course is developed to meet the CEA requirement of Registered Tree Work Supervisors for the renewal of registration.
