Introduction

The “East-meets-West centre for international cultural exchange” is a broad vision to strategically shape Hong Kong's positioning as a global hub for cultural exchange. The vision was supported by the National 14th Five-Year in 2022 and was reiterated in the 2023 and 2024 Policy Addresses. In November 2024, it was promulgated by a “Blueprint for Arts and Culture and Creative Industries Development” with detailed development priorities.

In order to support the Country's and the Region's policy directions, this 90-hour Professional Certificate in Cultural Relics and East –West Cultural Exchange is designed to meet the educational need and growing interest in three core aspects through three 30-hour courses: (i) historical relics with cultural significance, (ii) cross-border cultural development and exchange opportunities, and (iii) prospective trends and future directions of cultural sector in the globalised society.

Graduates will gain specialised knowledge in East-West relics and cultural exchanges, empowering them to excel as trained professionals leading future intercultural initiatives.
