PPCBIMU Professional Certificate in Building Information Modelling (BIM) and Visualisation with Unreal Engine

This programme aims to fit in the market gap by providing accredited training for the use of BIM in the construction industry. Complemented by the Unreal Engine training, this programme would be unique in the market to enable graduates to create immersive visualisation presentations of the BIM models.

Learning Outcomes

This programme aims to equip students with fundamental concepts and practical skills of building information modelling (BIM), computer drafting skills using computer aided design (CAD) software and real-time rendering using Unreal Engine.

Programme Features

• Introductory concepts for using BIM and unreal engine;

• Blended learning with theories and practices;

• Practical training sessions, using in-class interactive learning activities, demonstration in Computer Laboratory and / or Hologram room.  

Target Audience

• Those who are employed in or aspiring to work in construction, BIM, unreal engine industries;

• Students or Graduates who are studying or have completed engineering, architect programmes;

• Teachers of related subjects (e.g. IT, Mathematics, engineering, construction, architect industries,); and

• The general public who have a keen interest in BIM and unreal engine 

Admission Requirements

• Level 2 in 5 HKDSE subjects (including English Language and Chinese Language)i; or

• Satisfactory completion of Diploma of Applied Education or Diploma Yi Jin; or

• Satisfactory completion of a QF Level 3 Diploma or an equivalent programme, for example, Diploma of Foundation Studies awarded by Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education (IVE) or by a post-secondary institution in Hong Kong; or

• Other acceptable equivalent qualifications (including non-local qualifications obtained in or outside HK, or other qualifications/experience deemed to be equivalent); or

• Mature applicants aged 21 or above, preferably with relevant work experience.

Programme Structure

Assessment

Students are required to have an overall pass in the assessment of the programme. The passing mark is 50.

Award

A “Professional Certificate in Building Information Modelling (BIM) and Visualisation with Unreal Engine 建築信息建模與虛幻引擎影像專業證書” will be issued by LiPACE to those who have successfully passed and completed the programme.
