The Smart Researcher Badge is an exciting programme designed to celebrate and reward the active participation of students and staff in library workshops and activities.

By participating in our engaging sessions, you can earn points and stand a chance to win exciting prizes at the end of the semester!

Participants will automatically earn points for attending eligible library events between September and December 2025.

Those who collect more than 6 points will be awarded an Autumn 2025 Badge and will be eligible to enter the Grand Prize Draw.

Badges will be delivered via email to participant's registered HKMU email address.

1. Only active HKMU students and staff are eligible to participate in this program.

2. Participants will gain point(s) for attending eligible library event between September and December 2025.

3. Attending or watching the same workshop/activity within the same academic year will only be counted once.

4. In-class workshops are excluded from Badge eligibility.

5. To be eligible, participants must attend at least 80% of the total workshop duration, including viewing any associated recorded videos.

6. E-Badges will be sent to participants' HKMU email addresses at the end of the semester.

7. The Library reserves the right to modify the terms and conditions of the Badge Program at any time without prior notice.

8. The Library will collect and process participants' personal data to manage registrations and attendance. All data will be handled in accordance with the University's privacy policy.

9. Recipients of an Autumn Badge will be eligible to enter the Grand Prize Draw, which is expected to take place in January 2026, for a chance to win a prize.
