Library Rules and Regulations for Focus Booth
  1. Seven sets of Focus Booths are set up on Level 1 in the Stanley Ho Library, MC, and the Ho Sik Yee Library, JCC.
  2. They are available for booking by HKMU full-time staff, HKMU active full-time students and LiPACE full-time students of eligible programmes who have campus library access privilege.
  3. Booking is available from 30 minutes after the Library opens until 30 minutes before the Library closes, with each time slot of one hour starting from every half hour, on a first-come-first-served basis.
  4. The booths are for one user only.
  5. To use the booths, please make prior bookings. Booking can be made 14 days in advance.
  6. When not reserved, the booths are available on a first-come-first-served basis.  Priority is for users who made reservation.
  7. Each user is eligible to book the booths for up to 1 hour per session, 2 sessions per day, 4 sessions per week, from Sunday to Saturday.
  8. Each user can reserve for a maximum of 2 continuous sessions (or 2 hours). The booking of 2 continuous sessions can be made one time per day.
  9. Users who have booked the booths must present their HKMU ID Cards when claiming the room at the Service Counter.  After use, users are required to check out at the Service Counter.
  10. Booths not claimed within 10 minutes from the start of the session will be forfeited, and the booking will be counted against the booking quota.
  11. Bookings are not transferable.
  12. Eating and drinking are not permitted in the booth.
  13. No furniture should be moved in/out to/from the booths.
  14. Blocking the view through the glass door in any way is not allowed.
  15. Users must clear their personal belongings and leave the booths clean after use. Library staff members will remove any personal belongings left behind and no further notice will be given.
  16. The Library is not responsible for the security of personal belongings.
  17. Any damage of the furniture or fixtures in the booths should be reported to the Library Service Counter. Otherwise, the users will be held liable for the damage of the equipment/furniture in the booths.
  18. The Library may update or revise the terms of use at any time without further notice.
  19. All Library Regulations and Rules are applicable to the Focus Booths.
