Food and Drinks Policy

Eating and drinking are not permitted in the Library, except the Refreshment Corner in the Learning Commons of the Ho Sik Yee Library, Jockey Club Campus.
Only snack-size items from the vending machines in the Refreshment Corner are allowed. Other food items are not allowed. All drinks brought into the campus libraries must be non-alcoholic and in spill-proof bottles or containers with secure lids. The lids should be fastened securely when bottles or containers are not in use.
Deliveries of food to the library are not permitted.
Consumption of food is not permitted when using library materials or equipment.
The Library reserves the right to determine the food and drink items that are acceptable and appropriate.
Users should always keep the Learning Commons clean and dispose of any litter properly. Disposing of liquid in the bins should be avoided.
Self-service cleaning station is available next to the vending machine in the Refreshment Corner. Please clean up any spills or snack crumbs right away.
