The Prize was awarded by the International Council for Open and Distance Education to an institution for very significant contributions to the international community of open and distance learning, across cultural and linguistic barriers, particularly in terms of innovation and leadership.


President Prof. S.W. Tam received the Prize of Excellence for Institutions at the opening ceremony of the 19th ICDE World Conference.
