Adverse Weather Arrangements

If typhoon Signal No. 8 (or above) or Black Rainstorm Warning is issued, conference activities will be organised as follows:

Before Conference Hours During Conference Hours

Conference activities are cancelled or reorganised if the signals are still in force:

• at 6:30 am — for activities before 2:00 pm

• at 10:00 am — for activities between 2:00 pm – 6:00 pm

• at 2:00 pm — for all activities on that day

Typhoon Signal No. 8 or above

All conference activities must stop.

Black Rainstorm Warning

Conference activities already in progress will continue.

Conference activities are to be held as scheduled if the signals are lowered:

• before/at 6:30 am — for all activities on that day

• before/at 10:00 am — for activities at 2:00 pm and after

• before/at 2:00 pm — for activities at 6:00 pm and after

All conference activities will normally be held as scheduled when Typhoon Signal No. 3 or below is in force or when Red / Amber Rainstorm Signal is in force.

If necessary, the Conference Programme will be rescheduled / reorganised and you will find relevant announcements on the ICOIE 2026 website.

If the conference activities are cancelled due to the above circumstances, any travel and accommodation expenses will not be refunded.
