Biography

陳楸帆,作家、翻譯及未來學家,香港都會大學人文與社會科學學院助理教授,兼任中國作家協會科幻文學委員會副主任,中國科普作協理事,耶魯大學訪問學者,博古睿學者等。主要作品包括《荒潮》、《AI未來進行式》(與李開復博士合著)、《人生演算法》、《零碳中國》、《山歌海謠》等十餘部作品,被廣泛翻譯為二十多國語言,先後多次獲得茅盾新人獎、全球華語科幻星雲獎,中國科幻銀河獎、《亞洲週刊》年度十佳小說、中國外景獎。他的作品主題廣泛,涵蓋人工智慧與科技倫理、氣候變遷與環境保護、行星文明與心靈哲學等等。
Chen Qiufan (a.k.a. Stanley Chan) is a renowned Chinese writer, translator, and futurist. He serves as Deputy Director of the Science Fiction Literature Committee of the China Writers Association, as well as a board member of the China Science Writers Association, a Visiting Scholar at Yale University MacMillan Center(2023-2024), and a Berggruen Fellow. His major works include Waste Tide, AI 2041: Ten Visions for Our Future (co-authored with Dr. Kai-Fu Lee), The Algorithm of Life, Zero Carbon China, and Mountain Songs and Sea Ballads, among more than ten published works that have been widely translated into over twenty languages. He has won numerous domestic and international awards, including the Mao Dun Newcomer Award, the Global Chinese Science Fiction Nebula Award, the China Science Fiction Galaxy Award, Asia Weekly’s Top Ten Novels of the Year, and the German Business Book of the Year, among others. His works explore a broad range of themes, encompassing artificial intelligence and technology ethics, climate change and environmental protection, planetary civilization and philosophy of mind.
