Hong Kong Metropolitan University (HKMU) organised the “Honouring Support & Achievement – Donor-Recipient Gathering 2024/25” on 26 June 2025, to express sincere appreciation to donors for their longstanding generosity to the university and their unwavering support for student development.
During the gathering, President Professor Lam Kwan-sing and Vice President (Research and Institutional Advancement) Professor Ricky Kwok Yu-kwong presented Certificates of Appreciation to scholarship and bursaries donors. Mr Terence Yu Tak-kwong, one of the scholarship donors, engaged in a fireside chat with two student awardees, encouraging them to strive for excellence and seize opportunities. One of the awardees also delivered a captivating juggling performance to express heartfelt gratitude on behalf of all recipients.
This year, HKMU received record-breaking donations totaling almost HK$50 million in support of scholarships and bursaries, funding over 2,600 outstanding and/or financially deserving students. Both the number of beneficiaries and the total amount awarded in scholarships and bursaries have reached record highs.
