Supplier Disciplinary System

The Procurement Section of Hong Kong Metropolitan University will follow up with suppliers upon receiving complaints from users.

The Procurement Section shall review and record poor performance in the following areas as reported by users:

•            Inferior quality of goods or services
•            Poor after-sales support services
•            Late delivery of goods or services without justification
•            Frequent non-responses to invitations to quote/tender
•            Any other areas of poor performance

The Procurement Section shall, based on the severity of the above-mentioned poor performance, take one or more of the following actions against suppliers:

•           Issue written warnings to suppliers
•           Suspend suppliers for a specified period from invitation to bid
•           Remove suppliers from the Approved Supplier List after persistent poor performance
