Non-Smoking Campuses

All HKMU campuses are statutory non-smoking areas.

As stipulated in the Smoking (Public Health) Ordinance (Cap. 371), no person shall smoke or carry a lighted cigarette, cigar or pipe within our campuses including both indoor and outdoor perimeters at all times.

And commencing from 1 January 2026, fixed penalty is revised to $3,000 and the statutory non-smoking areas expands to within 3 metres from entrances / exits of University campuses.

Users may seek assistance from our security guards if any violation on the above is found.
