Programme Introduction

The Master of Education in Educational Technology and Innovation programme equips teachers and educational leaders with the conceptual knowledge needed to stay ahead of technological advancements in education.

Closely aligned with current and emerging trends, the programme provides a comprehensive curriculum that integrates theoretical foundations, applied practices, and research methodologies in educational technology.

Key areas of focus include the implications of using artificial intelligence (AI) in teaching, the pedagogical impact of technology integration, technology-enhanced educational assessment, the opportunities and challenges of leveraging technology to improve teaching and learning effectiveness, and the implementation and considerations surrounding educational technologies, including AI.

Students are required to complete 30 credit-units of courses, which comprises 21 credit-units of compulsory courses and a minimum of 9 credit-units of elective courses, to fulfill the graduation requirements.

Entry Requirement

To be eligible for admission to the programme, a student should normally hold a recognised Bachelor’s degree (or its equivalent) and must meet the English language proficiency requirements set by the University if their Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent qualification did not adopt English as the medium of instruction, with preference given to applicants who meet one or more of the following criteria:

  • applicants who have obtained a bachelor’s degree specialising in education
  • have experience teaching in a school
