Hi, I’m Jessica! I’m from Wales, UK. I graduated from Cardiff University with a BA (First) and MA (Distinction) in English Literature. Afterwards, I completed my CELTA (Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) in Bristol.
Since joining the Language Centre in February 2022, I’ve been holding workshops for HKMU students on topics such as IELTS Listening / Academic Reading / Academic Writing / Speaking, APA & MLA Referencing, Using ChatGPT to Improve Your Language Skills, British vs. American English, Idioms for Students, and Wales & Welsh Culture.
In addition to conducting workshops and one-to-one consultations at the LC, I also run activities such as English Corner, Script Reading Group, Book Club, and Movie Day.
Learning another language may be challenging, but it can also be enjoyable! I look forward to helping you with your English skills during your studies at HKMU. See you at the LC! 😃
