Biography

Dr. Hinny Wong received her B.A., M.Phil and Ph.D. in Linguistics from the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK). Before joining OUHK, she was lab manager of Childhood Bilingualism Research Centre, CUHK and a visiting lecturer at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. Her research interests lie in Chinese grammar, first and bilingual language acquisition with special focus on bilingual children in Hong Kong. Her current research projects include the acquisition of word order variations in Cantonese and Mandarin, and linguistic features of Chinese writing in HKDSE.
