Biography

Mr. Dan Ip received his BFA in Film and Television (majoring in directing) from the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts and Master of Cultural Studies from Lingnan University. His specialties lie in film and TV. His short film Finding You (10mins, 16mm) was selected by the 11^th Hong Kong Independent Short Film & Video Awards 2005 by jury recommendation. Moment (27mins, 16mm) was a finalist in the 5^thInternational Student Film & Video Festival organized by Beijing Film Academy in 2006 and a finalist in the 12th Hong Kong Independent Short Film & Video Awards in 2006.

He was worked for the local directors' film productions, such as Dante Lam and Wang Jing. He was also a programme director at Television Broadcasts Limited (TVB). Besides the film/ TV industry, his visual works also covered in TVC, installation, Canton pop concerts and theatre productions.
