Biography
Mr. Peter Cheung is a Lecturer in Sport and Recreation Management in the Lee Shau Kee School of Business and Administration at Hong Kong Metropolitan University. He earned his MA in Sport Studies from the Chinese University of Hong Kong after obtaining his BA from the University of Winchester in the United Kingdom. Prior to joining HKMU, he was the Assistant Coach Education Manager at the Hong Kong Sports Institute (HKSI). He was the coordinator to lead the team to take part in quality assurance in relation to programmes such as accreditation/recognition exercises and was responsible for the development and execution of various coach education programmes. During the time at HKSI, Peter has extensive connections with National Sport Associations to provide support to the development of coaches and elite coaches training.
Peter has been working in the Sports and Coaching industry such as the Hong Kong Coaching Committee, Hong Kong Sports Institute, several National Sports Associations and Sports Clubs, prior to joining HKMU. In addition to management, Peter is also a qualified coach in various sports. He is also the Course Review Panel Member of the Chinese University of Hong Kong, School of Continuing and Professional Studies and coaching committee member of National Sports Associations.
