HKMU signs MOU with The Hari Hong Kong to enrich students’ learning experience in hospitality industry

Lee Shau Kee School of Business and Administration of Hong Kong Metropolitan University (HKMU) and The Hari Hong Kong signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) earlier to offer quality education and training in hospitality, sports and recreation to HKMU students and graduates.

The MOU was signed by Dean of the School Prof. Alan Au Kai Ming and General Manager of The Hari Hong Kong Mr Rory Slater. Under the agreement, both parties will establish a collaboration in enriching the learning experience of HKMU students and graduates by offering internship, management training and job placement opportunities in the hotel.

Speaking at the ceremony, Prof. Alan Au said, “It is a valuable opportunity for our University to partner with The Hari Hong Kong. By strengthening the partnership, our students will not only gain hands-on work experience, but also be able to apply knowledge in a real work setting before they graduate.”

Having undergone a five-year training programme himself, Mr Rory Slater spoke of the value of the internship programme in his speech. He pointed out that the collaboration with HKMU would help nurture a new generation of outstanding and passionate talents committed to providing high quality service, and inject new energy to the hospitality industry.
