Biography

Dr. Shamil had obtained his Bachelor of Commerce (Special) degree from the University of Kelaniya, Sri Lanka, he also holds an MBA from the University of Colombo, Sri Lanka and a PhD from Curtin University. Prior to joining HKMU, he was a senior lecturer in the Department of Commerce and Financial Management of University of Kelaniya. He had joined the University of Kelaniya in 2003 and held several administrative positions during his tenure.
