Vaccination Days mark a new first for campus health
HKMU's first-ever Vaccination Days were held to help protect the HKMU community against influenza as winter approached. The vaccinations were administered by students from the School of Nursing and Health Studies.

Symposium on business sustainability
“Charting a Sustainable Future Amidst Digital Disruption and Evolving Value Chains” was the theme of the 7th Academia–Industry Exchange, organised by the Institute of International Business and Governance (IIBG) of the Lee Shau Kee School of Business and Administration. The event brought together academics and industry leaders to explore in depth how sustainability can be achieved despite today's volatile business environment.

HKMU welcomes four new Honorary Fellows
HKMU's annual Honorary Fellowship Presentation Ceremony saw honorary fellowships bestowed on Ms Yvonne Choi Ying-pik, former Permanent Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development; Dr Chung Wai-ping, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Tao Heung Holdings Limited; Mr Raymond To Kwok-wai, renowned playwright, screenwriter, and film and theatre director; and Ms Gigi Tung Oi-lai, founder of the Bo Charity Foundation, which launched the Food Angel food rescue and assistance programme.

HKMU's Winter Congregation for 2023 saw the University bestow academic degrees and awards on over 3,700 new graduates.

Honorary doctorates bestowed on distinguished awardees
Four distinguished individuals were awarded Honorary Degrees at the annual ceremony held this month. They were Prof. Sophia Chan Siu-chee, former Secretary for Food and Health of the HKSAR Government and a leading international nurse scientist; Dr Roy Chung Chi-ping, co-founder of Techtronic Industries Company Limited, and former Chairman and current Honorary President of the Federation of Hong Kong Industries; Mr Daryl Ng Win-kong, Deputy Chairman of Sino Group; and Mr Michael Wong Yick-kam, member of the University Council from 2008, for which he later served as Treasurer, Deputy Chairman and Chairman (2016–2022).
