The Alumni Affairs Office organized the 'I'm a Robotic Engineer' workshop on 25 March to raise funds for the OUHK New College Project, which received an overwhelming response from over 100 alumni, students and their families. Guided by voluntary guest tutor Mr Jacky Yau, OUHK alumnus and founder of the Robot Institute of Hong Kong, participants learned how to use plastic bricks and parts to build their own robots, and to program the robots to perform various tasks. The whole process required active learning, cooperation and creativity. The workshop concluded with an exciting robot competition and the awarding of prizes by OUHK Council member and the Legislative Council member (Information Technology) Dr the Honourable Samson Tam Wai-ho.
