Mr Yuen has served the Hong Kong government and many conglomerates for 45 years and obtained many professional qualifications, such as Eminent Fellow Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, Fellow Member of Chartered Institute of Housing, Fellow Member of Hong Kong Institute of Real Estate Administrators. He practiced his profession all over Southeast Asia and the Greater China Region.

Mr Yuen was a Land Executive at the New Territories Administration and then Housing Manager of the Hong Kong Housing Authority in his early years. In 1975, Mr Yuen took part in the first phase of the Home Ownership Scheme, and drafted the first Chinese Deed of Mutual Covenants. Since 1980 he has been a pioneer of many large scale real estate projects, such as the management of Discovery Bay and the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre Phase I. These were only part of Mr Yuen's contributions to the housing development and asset management in Hong Kong. In 1988, Mr Yuen joined one of the group companies of the New World Development Company Limited as the General Manager and was in charge of the leasing and management of the Jing Guang New World Centre at Beijing, which was the tallest and the most modern building in China.

Mr Yuen's career shifted to Investment since 2007. On behalf of the company he has invested in 16 real estate projects in mainland China and achieved excellent results. He is now the Chairman and CEO of Infrared NF Investment Advisers Ltd (previously known as HSBC NF Investment Advisers Ltd).

After graduated from secondary school, Mr Yuen was admitted to the University of Hong Kong in 1968 , but he gave up this opportunity due to financial difficulties. Nevertheless, Mr Yuen strongly believes in lifelong learning, and finished his two-year part-time master degree program despite heavy work load. In 2013, he was awarded Master of Science by HKU's Faculty of Architecture.
ball_grey Mr Yuen has been dedicating himself to the society by active participation in various public services. He has served in Land and Building Advisory Committee, Electrical and Mechanical Services Department, Employees Retraining Board, Vocational Training Council, The Hong Kong Council for Accreditation of Academic and Vocational Qualifications, the Review Committee on the Building Management Ordinance of Home Affairs Bureau. Currently he is the Chairman of the Property Management Industry training Advisory Committee under Qualification Frame work scheme of the Education Bureau. Over the past 20 years. Mr Yuen has been heading various real estate related associations and professional institutions in promoting and upgrading of professional competence.
ball_grey Mr Yuen will share the challenges and bitter experience he has gone through in his career development. He will also talk about how mindset determines results, and his philosophy─“observing, asking, analyzing, and self-criticizing”. He will also talk about the salient points with regard to foreign capital entering mainland China real estate market.
