Alumni Events and Activities Event highlight

Development and Alumni Affairs Office (DAAO) successfully held the HKMU Alumni Homecoming Dinner 2025 on 10 October 2025 (Friday) at Ho Man Tin Campus. Around 100 alumni and staff members attended the event. Alumni whose graduation years end with “5” or “0” were specially invited, aiming to strengthen the connection between alumni and their alma mater. To enhance the joyful atmosphere, lucky draws and instant photo booths were specially arranged.

The dinner was jointly hosted by President Professor Paul Lam and Vice President (Research and Institutional Advancement) Professor Ricky Kwok. They took the opportunity to review the University's achievements and share recent developments and future plans of the University with the alumni.

Following the opening remarks, a toasting ceremony was held, featuring President Professor Paul Lam, Provost Professor Reggie Kwan, Vice President (Research and Institutional Advancement) Professor Ricky Kwok, President of Hong Kong Metropolitan University Alumni Association (HKMUAA) Mr Jet Chou, Director of Development and Alumni Affairs Ms Zenobia Chia, Director of Public Affairs Ms Lee Pik-kwan, as well as Deans and representatives from various Schools.

HKMUAA President Mr Jet Chou Sai-kit then addressed the gathering, highlighting the important role alumni play in the University’s growth. He explained that every alumnus's support brings new energy to the University and encouraged alumni to take part in upcoming activities, form alumni groups, and join as affiliated members of the HKMUAA, thereby expanding the University’s alumni network, strengthening bonds across regions, and fostering greater opportunities for exchange and collaboration.

The dinner concluded in a warm and friendly atmosphere, deepening alumni's sense of belonging to their alma mater and laying a solid foundation for the University’s continued advancement.
