In recent years, more and more teachers and parents think that learning drama can boost the confidence of young people. Other merits include improvement in language and interpersonal skills and the building of team spirit. The new senior secondary school syllabus has included drama as an elective for the subjects of Chinese Language and English Language. Dr Shu and Ms Luk will talk about “Learning in Drama” in detail. Ms Luk obtained the OUHK's Bachelor of Arts Degree in 2009 and is now a Teaching Assistant at the University. She is also studying Master of Education. Dr Shu is a School of Education and Languages Lecturer who teaches drama and education.

School of Education and Languages Lecturer Dr Jack Shu and Teaching Assistant Ms Gladys Luk delivered a talk on 'Learning in Drama' on 31 May. Through a mini-drama 'Spending a night' in which participants were invited to take part on the stage, the speakers explained how to teach via drama in a lively manner.
