Alumnus bags young artist award

Edgar Ng Lap-hei

BA (Hons) in Creative Writing and Film Arts 2016

Organized by the Hong Kong Arts Development Council, the Hong Kong Arts Development Awards is an annual flagship event in the local arts scene which aims to recognize outstanding arts practitioners and up-and-coming artists with remarkable achievements. After graduation, Edgar has decided to fully commit to Cantonese opera performance. His hard work and talent was recognized in the 14th Hong Kong Arts Development Awards and was presented the 'Award for Young Artist' in the Xiqu sector.

Alumnus Chan Shui-po has a passion for Chinese literature and embarked on studies at the OUHK, where he finished three programmes in the field of Chinese Language. He keeps writing after graduation and has his prose collection published recently. The collection includes 51 proses and photos of sceneries around the world. Shui-po plays an active part in alumni work and is currently Secretary of the Alumni Society of the School of Arts and Social Sciences of the OUHK.
