Training Workshops and AI Courses
HKMU is committed to equipping students with essential skills and knowledge in artificial intelligence. We offer training workshops and AI courses to build students' competence in AI, empowering them to navigate the rapidly evolving AI landscape.
Since 2023, the ITO and SAO have collaborated with Microsoft to provide full-time HKMU students with access to AI-900 course certification programs. The programs are designed to equip students with essential skills in artificial intelligence (AI) for the future.
AI-900, or Azure Fundamentals, is tailored for individuals from non-technical or technical backgrounds who wish to learn, demonstrate and validate their foundational knowledge of cloud services and how Microsoft Azure delivers these services. No prior IT experience is required; however, some general IT knowledge or experience would be beneficial. As part of this course, students will wrap up with the AZ900 Certification Exam. Through the AI-900 course certification programs, students will master foundational AI concepts by:
To support students, Microsoft provides a briefing session with online toolkit resources for self-study, followed by a pre-exam training session to prepare them for the certification exam. All sessions and exams are conducted online in English.
On 24 October 2025, an in-person workshop titled “AI New Trends: Using ChatGPT to Develop Future Career Toolkit”, co-hosted by SAO and ITO, was successfully conducted to empower full-time undergraduate students with practical AI skills related to career development.
The workshop focused on emerging AI trends, with a particular emphasis on leveraging the HKMU ChatGPT portal as a tool for career preparation. Key areas covered included:
