| Regulations for the Master of Engineering in Engineering Management |

| 1. | General | |
| 1.1 | These regulations are made under paragraphs 1 to 4 of the Regulations for the Award of Postgraduate Degrees. | |
| 1.2 | In these regulations definitions shall apply as in the Regulations for the Award of Postgraduate Degrees and in the Interpretation Section of the Academic Rules and Regulations. | |
| 1.3 | The Regulations Governing the Articulation of Qualifications shall apply for conversion of the Postgraduate Certificate in Energy and Environmental Sustainability (Energy Management and Audits) to the award of Master of Engineering in Engineering Management. | |
| 1.4 | A student shall complete the programme within the maximum period of study prescribed by the University. | |
| 1.5 | A student shall complete the Master of Engineering in Engineering Management within 6 years of first enrolling in the programme. | |
| 2. | Entry Requirements | |
| 2.1 | To enter the Master of Engineering in Engineering Management programme, a student shall normally possess: | |
| 2.1.1 | a degree or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Engineering Science or a relevant discipline from a tertiary institution recognized by the University for the purpose; or | |
| 2.1.2 | a degree or equivalent in a non-Engineering discipline from a tertiary institution recognized by the University for the purpose; with at least 3 years of relevant work experience in engineering. | |
| 3. | Master of Engineering in Engineering Management (See Note 1) | |
| 3.1 | To be eligible for the award of the Master of Engineering in Engineering Management, a student shall: | |
| 3.1.1 | comply with the Regulations for Admission, Registration and Maintenance of Status; and | |
| 3.1.2 | comply with the Regulations for the Award of Postgraduate Degrees; and |
|
| 3.1.3 | obtain at least 60 credits in courses at Postgraduate level prescribed by the regulations as appropriate to the master of science degree for which notice has been given. |
|
| 3.2 | For the Master of Engineering in Engineering Management, the University has prescribed that a student must: |
|
| 3.2.1 | obtain 20 credits from the compulsory course labelled CM in Table 1; and |
|
| 3.2.2 | obtain at least 20 credits from the specialized courses labelled SM in Table 1; and | |
| 3.2.3 | obtain an additional 20 credits of specialized or courses labelled OM or SM in Table 1. | |
