Regulations for the Master of Corporate Finance and Compliance (Face-to-face)
 
  

1.General
1.1These regulations are made under paragraphs 1 to 4 of the Regulations for the Award of Postgraduate Degrees.
1.2In these regulations, definitions shall apply as in the Regulations for the Award of Postgraduate Degrees and in the Interpretation Section of the Academic Rules and Regulations.
1.3The Regulations Governing the Articulation of Qualifications shall apply for conversion of Postgraduate Diploma in Professional Accounting to the award of Master of Corporate Finance and Compliance (Face-to-face).
1.4A student shall complete the Master of Corporate Finance and Compliance (Face-to-face) programme according to the following study duration:

Master of Corporate Finance and Compliance (Face-to-face)

2.1To enter the Master of Corporate Finance and Compliance (Face-to-face) programme, a student shall normally possess:
 2.1.1a recognized degree in business or a business-related area (or its equivalent); or
 2.1.2a recognized degree in a non-business area (or its equivalent), plus at least three years of supervisory/managerial experience.
2.2To be eligible for the award of the degree of Master of Corporate Finance and Compliance (Face-to-face), a student shall:
 2.2.1comply with the Regulations for Admission, Registration and Maintenance of Status; and
 2.2.2comply with the Regulations for the Award of Postgraduate Degrees; and
 2.2.3obtain the following 60 credits prescribed by the regulations as appropriate to the degree for which notice has been given:
  2.2.3.1successfully complete 40 credits from compulsory courses labelled CM in Table 1; and
  2.2.3.2obtain a further 20 credits from elective courses labelled OM in Table 1.
 2.2.4successfully complete BUS B088F Global Immersion Programme (Postgraduate Level) (for full-time students only).

Master of Corporate Finance and Compliance (Face-to-face) (through Pathway 1)

3.1To enter the Master of Corporate Finance and Compliance (Face-to-face) programme through pathway 1, a student shall normally possess:
 3.1.1a recognized Master's degree in business or a business-related area (or equivalent).
3.2To be eligible for the award of the degree of Master of Corporate Finance and Compliance (Face-to-face), a student who entered the programme through pathway 1 shall:
 3.2.1comply with the Regulations for Admission, Registration and Maintenance of Status; and
 3.2.2comply with the Regulations for the Award of Postgraduate Degrees; and
 3.2.3obtain the following 40 credits prescribed by the regulations as appropriate to the degree for which notice has been given:
  3.2.3.1successfully complete 40 credits from compulsory courses labelled CM in Table 1.
 3.2.4successfully complete BUS B088F Global Immersion Programme (Postgraduate Level) (for full-time students only).
4.Master of Corporate Finance and Compliance (Face-to-face) (through Special Entry Route)
4.1To enter the Master of Corporate Finance and Compliance (Face-to-face) programme through special entry route, a student shall normally possess:
 4.1.1a recognized degree in a non-business area and with less than three years of supervisory/managerial experience.
4.2To be eligible for the award of the degree of Master of Corporate Finance and Compliance (Face-to-face), a student who entered the programme through special entry route shall:
 4.2.1comply with the Regulations for Admission, Registration and Maintenance of Status; and
 4.2.2comply with the Regulations for the Award of Postgraduate Degrees; and
 4.2.3obtain the following 80 credits prescribed by the regulations as appropriate to the degree for which notice has been given:
  4.2.3.1successfully complete 20 credits from BUS B808F/BUS B828F labelled SM in Table 1; and
  4.2.3.2successfully complete 40 credits from compulsory courses labelled CM in Table 1; and
  4.2.3.3obtain a further 20 credits from elective courses labelled OM in Table 1.
 4.2.4successfully complete BUS B088F Global Immersion Programme (Postgraduate Level) (for full-time students only).

Notes:

  1. Course code of the Global Immersion Programme had been changed from BUS B818F to BUS B088F.  Students who have successfully completed BUS B818F are deemed to have completed BUS B088F.
     
  2. Courses form excluded combinations with other courses. Only one of the courses of the excluded combinations can count towards an OUHK award. Students should refer to the list of excluded combinations for details.
