Regulations for the Master of Business in Research Methods

 

1. General
1.1 These regulations are made under paragraphs 1 to 4 of the Regulations for the Award of Postgraduate Degrees.
1.2 In these regulations, definitions shall apply as in the Regulations for the Award of Postgraduate Degrees and in the Interpretation Section of the Academic Rules and Regulations.
   
2. Entry Requirements
2.1 To enter the Master of Business in Research Methods programme, a student shall normally possess:
  2.1.1 a recognized degree in a business-related area (or its equivalent).
   
2.2 To enter the Master of Business in Research Methods programme through Pathway 1, a student shall normally possess:
  2.2.1 a recognized Master’s degree in a business-related area (or its equivalent).
3. Master of Business in Research Methods (MBRM)
3.1 To be eligible for the award of the degree of Master of Business in Research Methods, a student  shall:
  3.1.1 comply with the Regulations for Admission, Registration and Maintenance of Status; and
  3.1.2 comply with the Regulations for the Award of Postgraduate Degrees; and
  3.1.3 obtain the following 60 credits prescribed by the regulations as appropriate to the degree for which notice has been given:
    3.1.3.1 successfully complete 40 credits from BUS B880 and BUS B950 in Table 1; and
    3.1.3.2 successfully complete 20 credits from any postgraduate courses offered by the Lee Shau Kee School of Business and Administration.
4. Master of Business in Research Methods (through Pathway 1) (MBRM1)
4.1 To be eligible for the award of the degree of Master of Business in Research Methods, a student who entered the programme through pathway 1 shall:
  4.1.1 comply with the Regulations for Admission, Registration and Maintenance of Status; and
  4.1.2 comply with the Regulations for the Award of Postgraduate Degrees; and
  4.1.3 obtain 40 credits from BUS B880 and BUS B950 in Table 1, prescribed by the regulations as appropriate to the degree for which notice has been given.
