Regulations for the Certificate in Health Studies (Community Health Care) and Diploma in Health Studies (Community Health Care)

 

1. General
1.1
These regulations are made under paragraphs 1 to 4 of the Regulations for the Award of Sub-degree Qualifications (Sub-degrees).
1.2
In these regulations definitions shall apply as in the Regulations for the Award of Sub-degree Qualifications and in the Interpretation Section of the Academic Rules and Regulations.
 
2. Entry Requirements
2.1
To enter the Certificate/Diploma in Health Studies (Community Health Care) programme, a student must:
  2.1.1 have completed Form 5 or equivalent.
 
3. Certificate in Health Studies (Community Health Care) (CHSCHC)
3.1
To be eligible for the award of the Certificate in Health Studies (Community Health Care), a student shall:
  3.1.1
comply with the Regulations for Admission, Registration and Maintenance of Status; and
  3.1.2
comply with the Regulations for the Award of Sub-degree Qualifications (Sub-degrees); and
  3.1.3 have been deemed to satisfy in full the specified pre-entry requirements for the programme of study; and
  3.1.4
obtain at least 30 credits in courses prescribed by the regulations.
3.2
For the Certificate in Health Studies (Community Health Care), the University has prescribed that a student must:
  3.2.1
successfully complete HESC N101C, HESC N102C, and HESC N103C in Table 1.
 
4. Diploma in Health Studies (Community Health Care) (DHSCHC)
4.1
To be eligible for the award of the Diploma in Health Studies (Community Health Care), a student shall:
  4.1.1
comply with the Regulations for Admission, Registration and Maintenance of Status; and
  4.1.2
comply with the Regulations for the Award of Sub-degree Qualifications (Sub-degrees); and
  4.1.3 have been deemed to satisfy in full the specified pre-entry requirements for the programme of study; and
  4.1.4
obtain at least 60 credits in courses prescribed by the regulations.
4.2
For the Diploma in Health Studies (Community Health Care), the University has prescribed that a student must:
  4.1.1 successfully completed all the courses in the Certificate in Health Studies (Community Health Care); and
  4.1.2 obtain a further 30 credits from HESC N104C, HESC N201C, HESC N202C and HESC N203C in Table 1.
