Programme Description

Designed for students who want to pursue a career in entrepreneurship, management, finance, and more, this BBA degree programme provides students with the basic practical skills and intellectual knowledge required of all managers. Nurturing students to be future leaders in their career, the BBA degree programme offers students opportunities to explore various business management disciplines such as accounting, banking and finance, corporate administration, human resource management, international business, logistics and supply chain management, and marketing. In addition to classroom learning, students are encouraged to get hands-on experience of what entering the field of business administration entails.This programme prepares students to be effective and efficient managers in private and public enterprises, so they can become future leaders in the administration field.

Programme Intended Learning Outcomes (PILOs)

  1. Explain and critically review business theories and concepts to identify issues, analyse situations, and develop solutions for multi-faceted problems in organisational settings.
  2. Critically evaluate issues and make informed judgements in view of the organisation's strategies as well as ethical considerations.
  3. Make meaningful contributions as a leader and member in a team setting and communicate effectively.

(c) additional 20 credits, as necessary, from any English and/or Chinese Foundation, Middle or Higher level courses offered by the University.

Students are required to complete 120 credits but they may opt to graduate with a lower qualification such as Associate of Business Administration [ABA] (80 credits) or Certificate in Business Administration [CBA] (30 credits) after completing the required number of credits and fulfilling the requirements of the programme regulations.

Choosing the first courses to get started

Undergraduate students taking the BBA degree programmes in English are recommended to begin their studies with one of the School’s introductory courses such as BUS B103 English and Communications for Business I, BIS B123 Business Computing Applications.

They are then free to complete a general degree, or to specialize in a range of business disciplines.
