Aims
This course aims to introduce students to the major socio-cultural issues through examining various literary works, critical writings and films. It will broaden students' intellectual horizon and cultural literacy.

Contents

Class and gender
Multiculturalism, globalization and glocalization
Traditions and modern resistance
The lost generation
Conflicts in colonial and post-colonial contexts
