  • Translating the text

Learning support

Before formally engaging in the translation project, students have to do research on the text they want to translate (from English into Chinese, or vice versa). The word count of the source text is expected to be at least 7,000. Over a period of 13 weeks, individual consultation or supervision will be provided, making up a total of up to 52 hours of supervision for each student. Each project will proceed according to its specific requirements.

Assessment

The course assessment is based on continuous assessment (100%), in which the translation project proposal comprises 10%; the first draft, 35%; and the final draft, 55%.

Students are required to submit assignments via the Online Learning Environment (OLE).
