Aims

This course aims to enhance students' knowledge of organisational behaviour in the public sector.

Contents

  1. Organisational theory and behaviour
  2. Differences between public and private sectors
  3. Organisational behaviour in public and private sectors
  4. Organisational behaviour in the Hong Kong public sector

Learning support

The study units, together with five face-to-face tutorials and one supplementary lecture are the main strategies to help students achieve the learning outcomes. Students can also consult the tutor by phone or email about the study units, set book and assigned readings within the designated telephone tutoring hours.

Assessment

To pass the course, students must pass both the continuous assessment and the final examination.

Students are required to submit two individual written assignments, which have a value of 50% of the total course grade. The final examination will be of two hours' duration and have a value of 50% of the total course grade.

Online Requirement
Students are required to submit assignments via the Online Learning Environment (OLE).
