Aims

The course aims to provide students with an introduction to the principles and purposes of management accounting and international finance, and to equip students with the basic knowledge, understanding, and skills of international finance and management accounting.

  • Advanced techniques in project appraisal
  • The international financial environment
  • Issues in international financial management

Learning support

There will be four two-hour live online lectures, 16 one-hour live online surgeries, and two six-hour compulsory face-to-face day schools.

Assessment

There are one assignment, two application-based assessments, four lecture polls and one examination.  Assignments should be prepared with Microsoft Word, and submitted to Turnitin for plagiarism checking via the Online Learning Environment (OLE).

Equipment

Students will need access to a personal computer with an Internet connection.
