Aims
This course seeks to equip students with theoretical and conceptual tools to analyse and evaluate contemporary global issues.

It will introduce students to the contextual factors that have given rise to various key global issues of the day. It will also explore the nature of those key global issues and their impacts on the states and the people around the world. By the end of this course, the students should be able to apply the relevant international relations theories, political philosophies and academic concepts to make sense of, analyse and evaluate the global issues of the day.

Learning Support
Face-to-face lectures (3.5 hours per week)

Assessment
There will be two assignments, each worth 50% of the course score. Students are required to submit assignments via the Online Learning Environment (OLE).
