Second spot in business case competitions

Two business student teams participated in different business case competitions, achieving impressive results. The team formed by Agnes Ho Yan-tung, Noa Wong, Arianna Cui Yuan and Myra Lee Yan-hei earned the first runner-up title in the HKGCC Business Case Competition 2024–25, organised by the Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce (HKGCC). They were given a cash prize of HK$20,000 and one-year HKGCC student associate memberships as a reward.

Another team, comprising Suja Khajum Limbu, Samir Kharel, Winnie Huang Rong and Sophia Liu Linfei, participated in the Future HR Talents Hackathon 2024–25, organised by the HKMA Human Capital Management Society. By offering a unique, effective and innovative solution, they secured the first runner-up position in the competition, rewarded with a cash prize and a job-shadowing experience.

Business School sports teams excel in various sports tournaments

Students from the Business School formed sports teams and achieved outstanding results in a range of sports contests. The B&A Cricket Team participated in the Joint-U Tape Ball Cricket Sixes 2024–25, securing the first runner-up among eight university teams.

The B&A Sports and Recreation Management Student Team excelled in the Hong Kong Universities Dodgeball Championships 2024–25, clinching the first runner-up in the Mixed Plate category. The team formed five smaller groups to compete in the Hong Kong Padel+ ESG Youth Tournament. Two of the teams earned impressive results, with first runner-up and second runner-up finishes in the Tertiary Division.

Creative Writing students shine with accolades

Master's students and graduates in Creative Writing have been recognised for their achievements in several literary and arts competitions. In the 11th national inter-collegiate literary competition “Weeds Literary Prize”, Fu Wei won a First Class Award (Poetry) for “Yum Cha at Night” and Sha Xiantong received a Second Class Award (Poetry) for “Examination of Animal Poetics”.

Meanwhile, Shi Yuang won the Gold Award for Best Young Science Fiction Writer at the 2024 Stars Award for “Translation of an Ancient Book”. Huang Xianjin was honoured with the Campus Poetry Award at the 32nd Rougang Poetry Award. Shi Yiqing showcased her illustration “Tears of Sika Deer” at the 2024 International Youth Art Competition “Per Le Venezie”, winning Second Prize.

Students glean outstanding prospective teachers awards

Thirteen students were recognised for their exceptional teaching skills and passion for education at the 12th Hong Kong Outstanding Prospective Teachers Award. Among them, So Yuk-yu and Chang Sin received the Gold Award, while Long Wanting, Lo Man-ling, Wong Yuet-sze and Xie Peishan earned the Silver Award. Stephy Wong Yuk-yan and Siu Chi-fung were recognised with the Bronze Award, and the remaining students received the Merit Award.
