    Great Speakers Series  
   

The OUHK Great Speakers Series is a distinguished public lecture series featuring prominent speakers from various sectors. Through broadcast as part of the Open for Learning programme on TVB Pearl, it is accessible by all in Hong Kong, turning all of Hong Kong into an OUHK lecture hall.     'Million Dollar Matching Challenge' Kick-off Ceremony cum Fun Day  
   

The University has been granted a piece of land on Sheung Shing Street right across the Main Campus and is setting out to build a new complex, the OUHK Jockey Club Institute of Healthcare. In support of this development, it is organizing a Fun Day to kick start the 'Million Dollar Matching Challenge', a fundraising campaign under the auspices of Council Chairman Mr Michael Wong. Come join us for a kaleidoscope of family friendly games and entertainments, and bring home free souvenirs!

    IIBG Distinguished Professor seminar  
   

This seminar by Prof. Tseng Chin-chin from National Taiwan Normal University will look at the project-based learning method as a student-centred pedagogy to help second-language Chinese learners discover problems in pronunciation as the teacher guides them to find solutions with an acoustic spectrogram.

    Mathematics lecture by Fields Medalist  
   

IRITS, joining hands with the International Mathematical Olympiad Hong Kong Committee, is presenting a public lecture by Russian-American mathematician and Fields Medalist Prof. Efim Isaakovich Zelmanov. The lecture is part of the Third International Congress in Algebras and Combinatorics (ICAC 2017).

    Seminar on corpus-based research methodology and its applications  
   

In this public seminar, Prof. Stefan Th. Gries from the Department of Linguistics of University of California, Santa Barbara will discuss a comprehensive way of exploring co-occurrence phenomena in corpora, which goes way beyond what mere co-occurrence frequencies can offer and at the same time is compatible with recent findings in corpus-based and computational psycholinguistics.

    Symposium on Open and Innovative Education  
   

The Symposium on Open and Innovative Education aims to bring together scholars in relevant fields around the globe for addressing prominent issues, exchanging research ideas and exploring collaboration. The Symposium features keynotes delivered by renowned scholars to present the latest developments in open education, technology-enhanced learning and learning analytics. It also includes presentations of research findings and innovative practices by local scholars. A discussion forum will be held to exchange views on opportunities and challenges in the field.
