    Testing and Certification Industry Summit  
   

In line with the Government's strategic direction to drive the development of testing and certification industry, one of the six economic areas where Hong Kong enjoys clear advantages and has good potential for further development, the OUHK has launched two brand new distance learning programmes in Product Design, Testing and Certification. To explore the roles of the Government, universities and industries in facilitating the development of this booming industry, the OUHK will hold a Testing and Certification Industry Summit with details as follows:

    Walk-in registration for the April 2011 semester  
   

Continuing and new students can register in person at the OUHK Ho Man Tin campus (Room G35) during the walk-in registration period from 19 February to 1 March for distance learning and part-time face-to-face courses that still have places available. Students may be able to receive their course materials on the spot.

    Education and Careers Expo 2011  
   

The OUHK will take part in the Education and Careers Expo 2011. Admission is free and all are welcome.

Information sessions on distance learning, e-Learning, part-time & full-time face-to-face programmes will be held. Visitors can meet OUHK teaching staff and browse through learning materials. There will also be advice services on course selection, credit exemption and financial assistance.

Face lifting of the Information Centre  
   

The OUHK Information Centre has a face lift following the completion of renovation works in January. Installation of a new signage has given the centre a modern and refreshing look. Improved facilities include modified computer kiosks to better suit the needs of wheelchair users and a new 40-inch digital display panel for broadcasting class schedules, corporate videos and other University news.

    Alumni Link Talks – Legal Talks Series  
   

The Alumni Affairs Office of the Public Affairs Unit has invited three lawyers to volunteer to conduct three legal talks in May. The talks, to be conducted in Cantonese, are to raise fund for the OUHK Alumni Scholarship and Bursary Fund. Those who have donated $200 or more will receive a set of admission tickets for attending all the three talks.
