University Updates
The University holds its first Summer Congregation this year with over 3,000 qualifications conferred, including more than 2,500 bachelor's degrees and over 500 postgraduate degrees.
The event invited experienced entrepreneurs to share and exchange ideas with students and alumni. It also presented nine winning teams of MetroChallenge with an implementation fund of HK$100,000 each to execute their entrepreneurship projects.
At a recent Talk of the Metropolis lecture, Ir Dr Ted Suen Yiu-tak shared his experience of building the digital mobility platform for the cognitive city NEOM, throwing light on digital innovation strategies for constructing a smart city.
Funded by the Katie Shu Sui Pui Charitable Trust, 30 student leaders visited innovative enterprises and exchanged ideas with academic and cultural institutions in the Greater Bay Area (GBA) to broaden their horizons.
Signed with the Institute of Dining Professionals (IDP), the agreement outlines academic collaborations and exchanges including the launch of the Master of Professional Management in Food and Beverage Business programme in spring 2024.
The MoU signed with Ernst & Young Group Limited (EY) expands the scope of collaboration in academic, research, education and development areas, so as to promote knowledge transfer, talent mobility and business connectivity within the GBA.
Another collaborative agreement was signed with the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA) to provide educational, training and work-based learning opportunities for concerned students.
