16 Apr (Fri) 5:00-6:00 pm Dr Hinny Wong from the School of E&L will present her analysis of 180 Chinese articles written by HKDSE students, offering insights into measures of Chinese language writing.
21-22 May The discipline of Chinese creative writing is exhibiting new development directions and potentials thanks to structural changes in the related creative industries. Based on years of teaching practice and academic research experiences, the Department of Creative Arts will hold an international seminar alongside the Tin Ka Ping Centre of Chinese Culture to explore future possibilities of the development of Chinese creative writing. 23-25 Jun Organized by the Public and Social Policy Research Centre (PSPRC), the conference will explore issues pertaining to housing and ageing policies in European, American, Asia Pacific and Chinese societies.
5-7 Jul Openness and innovation are major current trends in education, influencing the whole spectrum of education institutions across the globe. New curriculum and pedagogical approaches are bringing about a paradigm shift in contemporary education. Modes of learning and teaching are becoming more open and innovative in terms of time, space, curriculum contents, organization, pedagogical methods, infrastructure and requirements. Over 100 participants from over 20 countries or regions will share their relevant research and good practices at this conference.

The team came up with an innovative solution for promoting the reduction of bottled water consumption within the six-hour limit. Their outstanding performance impressed senior executives from HSBC and other companies and won them a ticket to the regional HSBC/HKU Asia Pacific Business Case Competition 2021, representing Hong Kong.
