The OUHK Great Speakers Series is a distinguished public lecture series featuring prominent speakers from various sectors.     IROPINE Seminar: Open Education and Higher Education in Hong Kong  

Open and distance learning (ODL) was successfully introduced to Hong Kong and started making significant contributions to local higher education some 28 years ago. In this seminar, the speakers will highlight the key success factors of ODL in Hong Kong in the past, and discuss its prospect, opportunities and role to play in the higher education system of Hong Kong.

    2017 International Conference on Open and Innovative Education (ICOIE 2017)  

Openness and innovation are major trends in contemporary education, influencing the whole spectrum of education institutions across the globe. Technological advancements and breakthroughs are bringing about a paradigm shift in contemporary education. Modes of learning and teaching are becoming more open and innovative in terms of time, space, curriculum contents, organization, pedagogy, infrastructure and requirements. This conference will explore key issues of relevant advancements.

    Knowledge Network Highlight – Early Developments in Management Thinking  

This free courseware, Early Developments in Management Thinking, introduces the major schools of management thought and their evolution in the first half of this century. Each approach has contributed to the development of management thinking, but no single approach has gained dominance over the rest. We hope that the ideas and theories in this module will give you some food for thought, and that you will be able to apply them in your workplace.

      Bachelor of International Hospitality and Attractions Management with Honours  

This programme aims to provide high quality education in theoretical and practical knowledge and skills in various aspects of hospitality and attractions management for those who wish to pursue their careers at managerial level in the hospitality industry. Students will be offered internship as well as local and overseas exchange opportunities to gain familiarity with practical work settings.



    Lee Shau Kee School of Business and Administration Master's Programmes (face-to-face mode)  

The Master's programmes are designed for practising managers to enhance their knowledge, ability and skills as they prepare for senior managerial positions. Master’s level students may choose to specialize in a particular field – accounting, business administration, corporate finance and compliance, corporate governance, global business and marketing or human resource management. The programmes are available in full-time and part-time study modes.

Application deadline for local applicants is 31 July.



      Master of Education in English Language Teaching  

This is a one-year full-time programme specially designed for postgraduate students to deepen their understanding of applied English linguistics as well as theories and practices of English language learning and teaching. Graduates of the programme will have gained a strong academic foundation in practical English language teaching skills and expertise in teaching English in a variety of contexts.

       Alumni Café  

Alumni Café, a brand new alumni gathering session, was held on 10 March. Alumnus Dennis Cheung, winner of the Young Leader Award and Outstanding Social Workers Award, was invited to share his extraordinary story with alumni and students. He also played the guitar with moderator Dr Michael Ng, bringing participants a relaxing Friday evening.
